- Click “Obtain Privileges” either on the side pull-out menu or in the upper right-hand corner of the page.
2. When the screen loads, confirm your information. If anything is incorrect, contact your home state. You can update your email address under Account settings.
3. Click both attestations if you agree to them.
4. Click “Confirm”
5. Select the states where you want to practice. Your home state and any states where you already hold a privilege will appear in grey and cannot be selected until eligible for renewal.
6. You can purchase privileges in multiple states in the same transaction.
7. When you select a state, a blue box shows the expiration date, fee, subtotal, and an attestation. Click to read and confirm each attestation. Some states also require a second attestation for a jurisprudence exam.
8. Click “Next”
9. Complete the required attestations: Investigations (choose either option — neither will block your purchase), Discipline (must agree to both to continue), Provision of true information, and Military Affiliation (only available if documentation is uploaded in the Account Configuration).
10. Click “Next”
11. The payment summary screen shows each state fee separately and the total administrative fee (number of privileges × current fee)
12. Click the box next to the statement “All compact privilege purchases are final. Refunds will not be issued.”
13. Click” Payment”
14. Enter your payment information. The system accepts all major credit cards, including, Master Card, Visa, Discover, and American Express.
15. Click “Complete purchase.”
16. Click “Finish”
17. Check your email for your receipt and privilege number. If it doesn’t arrive within a few minutes but the privileges appear on your dashboard, check your Junk or Spam folder.
18. Your privileges appear in the Privileges section of your dashboard, as well as in the confirmation email. You may now practice in those states.
19. Log out of your account when you are finished.
